There is no real debate concerning whether A. Harrison Barnes is or is not a successful entrepreneur, he clearly is a brilliant businessman. With that said, what is most often overlooked about Mr. Barnes is that he is not only concerned about entrepreneurial success or raw profits—he is also a humanitarian. He is a man who cares quite deeply about a vital issue, unemployment, and seeks to end it by utilizing his ability to create business and promulgate information. Barnes wishes to one day live in a world where every individual who wants to be is gainfully employed.

His belief is that this will happen as the result of information concerning job listings being more widely dispersed and more readily available. A. Harrison Barnes erects businesses which collect and post information on active job listings in order to eliminate unemployment to whatever degree that can be done. This does not mean, however, that his ability to create successful businesses should be minimized. If nothing else, this is also a way for him to combat unemployment by providing more jobs. Barnes is on the march towards his dream of a fully employed society whilst proving himself through entrepreneurial efforts. He is both a capitalist and a humanitarian, a rare breed of man that is concerned both about profits and people.
